Children's Consignment Launching at Nest & Sprout 2024

Happy Earth Day, everyone!

We're thrilled to share some exciting news with you on this special occasion: Nest & Sprout is diving into the world of children's consignment! We are so excited to bring more consignment shopping to Prince George, BC & Northern BC. 

To be completely honest, it's felt a bit strange for us to be in the sustainable kids' clothing space without offering consignment. After all, we firmly believe that there's a place for both new and preloved products in every wardrobe. The idea of consignment first caught our attention last year when we started receiving requests for unique items that didn't quite fit into our regular inventory due to low demand or high price points.

But then it hit us—what if we could curate a collection of these rare and wonderful treasures from our community and connect them with families like yours? That's when the idea of consignment really started to take shape for us.

We've had some insightful conversations with existing consignment shops across the North, and it became abundantly clear—we need more of this. And so, with the dawn of our online era, Nest & Sprout is embarking on our consignment journey, and we couldn't be more excited!

Later this summer, we'll be introducing in-store consignment drop-offs and shopping experiences, along with an expanded range of maternity consignment items. We're narrowing our focus to boutique children's brands—the kind you'd find at Nest & Sprout, Mountains & Meadows, Lil Gumnut, and similar upscale kids' stores. This means no more mass-market brands like Carters, Joe Fresh, or Gerber.

To provide both quality and quantity, we'll be accepting up to 20 items per family per month. However, we may need to pause consignment intake if the demand becomes overwhelming. But hey, we're all about learning and growing as we navigate this new chapter! Email subscribers were the first to hear about this development and had the opportunity to sign up early.
